GoStar Driver — Driver Handbook

The GoStar Driver app guides you through your whole shift: pick up a vehicle, receive ride offers, navigate to passengers, finish trips, and review completed work. This handbook tells you what each screen does and what the app expects from you at each step.

What the app covers

• Vehicle pick-up and release — choose the specific car you'll drive on this shift.
• Ride offers — full-screen modal with sound, haptics, and a pickup countdown.
• Ride lifecycle — acknowledge, "On the way", notify arrival, start trip, end trip.
• Navigation — opens your phone's native maps (Apple Maps on iOS, Google Maps on Android) and lets you call the passenger.
• Ride history — list of finished rides with month filter.
• Profile and settings — language, theme, license info, sign out.

Before you start

Before your first shift you'll need:

1. An invitation from the operator — code arrives by email or SMS.
2. A GoStar account — sign in with email + one-time code, Apple ID, or Google.
3. Granted permissions — location (precise, always), notifications, microphone for some features.
